Woody’s Wholesale Nursery began in 1947 as a hobby and has since grown into one of the oldest, family-owned nurseries in Georgia. Now in its third generation, our nursery stands as a testament to decades of dedication, growth, and a passion for plants. Back in the 1960s, long before plastic containers became standard, Woody’s was already innovating—growing plants in recycled food cans when few options existed. As early adopters in the container-growing movement, we helped shape the region’s nursery industry and provided high-quality plants to the greater Atlanta area.

A Move Toward Growth

In 1973, with Duluth beginning to grow and demand on the rise, Woody’s relocated to its current 11-acre location. This move allowed us to better serve both home gardeners and the landscape industry with a wide variety of healthy, vibrant plants. Alongside our own stock, we also became a trusted dealer for many of the finest growers across the Southeast.
